Back in February, on a rare day off from the kids (thanks in-laws!), my wife and I took a day trip out. We hadn’t got a clue where to go so I just mentioned Staunton Harold Hall as I’d seen signs for the place on numerous occasions over the years when travelling west of Loughborough and was always inquisitive about what was there. While walking around the magnificent grounds and taking in the spectacular view of the hall and the National Trust owned church, I said out aloud “I’d love to shoot a wedding here”. Two weeks later, the phone rang and I had my first enquiry for a wedding at Staunton Harold. How freaky is that? And so on to my first wedding of a very busy July and Mike and Ellie’s special day.
