Holly is the sister of Lucy, a bride of mine from a lovely, emotive wedding three years ago. So it was with a sense of deja-vu that I ventured over to Castle Donington for the bridal preparations at the end of July at Holly’s parents’ house. After the preparations it was a short trip back to a favourite church and priest of mine – father Michael – at St. Winefride’s in Shepshed for the ceremony. The reception was held at local catholic school, Grace Dieu Manor which provided a lovely backdrop to the wedding in beautiful grounds.
The reception itself was very emotional. Richard’s emotional speech was littered with pauses as Holly’s dad kept him supplied with handkerchiefs and then Holly – a great singer – sprang a surprise on Richard by performing Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love”. I can honestly say that those four minutes were four of the most amazing I have ever witnessed at a wedding. You don’t realise how hard it is to take pictures with tears in your eyes. Simply amazing.
Updated to add a testimonial from Holly & Rich… “Thank you so much!!! We absolutely LOVE them all – you’ve captured such wonderful moments and reminded us of how special our day was. We honestly cannot thank you enough. Thanks so much and I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!”
