It’s the middle of October and I’m still way behind on blogging my weddings, a concerted effort will be made over the next few months to get caught up! So without further ado, here’s the next one up from the middle of July! ;o)
David & Kathy approached me to shoot their wedding after seeing the wedding of a work colleague of Kathy’s which I covered up in Didsbury, Manchester last year. David has a daughter from a previous marriage and when talking to him before the wedding I mentioned that I could tell that he was totally smitten with her. He agreed and said that he would probably crumble when he saw her for the first time that day in her bridesmaid’s outfit. See the emotive pic in the slide show below.
A lovely email from Kathy arrived upon showing them their images for the first time…
“I am out of words, the photos are more beautiful and more evocative than I even thought possible. It is my Wedding Day again when I look at any of your photos Ian and all of the wonderful feelings and memories are brought back to the fore, save for the nerves which are fortunately long passed. Even though I knew you were with us on the day, I’m amazed that I didn’t notice that you had taken some of these photos – Invisible Ian! Dave was on the late shift last night and on the early shift this morning so we only got through the first 50 photos together over supper last night but I’ve been through them all 5 times already – they are so wonderful Ian. Thank you so much – I’m never going to tire of going through them!”
