How much does a professional wedding album cost in the UK?
Real starting prices and real worked examples across nine album constructions, so you have a genuine idea of the cost before you ever ask for a quote.
It is a fair question and a surprisingly hard one to get a straight answer to, because most album makers quote a single "from" price built on the smallest, plainest configuration nobody actually orders, then the real figure arrives later and feels like a different conversation entirely. I would rather set out the honest shape of it here: real starting prices, and what actually moves them, so the number you eventually get is a confirmation rather than a surprise.
Starting prices, by construction
Every album is priced on size, page count, cover material and any box, so these are genuine starting points for a real, ordinary configuration, not the bare minimum: Soft Back Book from £230.00, Baby Book from £233.00, Go Book from £299.00, Story Book from £326.00, Primo Book from £409.00, Original Wedding Book from £574.00, The Edge from £579.00, Young Book from £577.00, and Matted album from £637.00. Full detail, real examples across page counts, and every material are on each album's own page.
What actually moves the price
Four things, in roughly this order of impact. Page count is the biggest lever: a Primo Book runs from £409.00 at 100 pages to £969.00 at 300, and that scaling is genuinely proportional across every album, not a rounding effect. Construction comes next: a hand-made, flush-mount Italian album like the Original Wedding Book starts well above a UK-printed Soft Back Book, because one is built by hand from rigid pages and the other runs on a digital press — different processes, not different quality tiers. Cover material and box move things by tens rather than hundreds of pounds at the low end, but they compound: the Go Book, for instance, runs £299.00 without its box at 20 pages to £603.00 with the box at 60 pages. And size matters least of the four for most albums, though it is not negligible.
A few real examples
A 20-page Original Wedding Book at 30×30cm with the free white box: £574.00, rising to £852.00 at 60 pages. A Primo Book at 35×25cm, 200 pages, without the Design Box: £689.00; the same book with the box: £777.00. A Matted album at 35×25cm, 20 pages: £637.00, rising to £1,157.00 at 60 pages, reflecting how much slower hand-cut window mats are to produce than a flush-mount spread. None of these are theoretical ceilings — they are the kind of specification most people actually choose.
Parent copies and extra copies
If more than one household wants a copy, the Soft Back Book is worth knowing about even if it is not your main album: £230.00 for a single 100-page copy, £243.00 for three (£81.00 each), or £254.00 for five (£50.80 each), because it runs on a digital press that scales with quantity the way a hand-made flush-mount book never can. Runs into the hundreds exist too, but that end of the scale is really aimed at clubs and companies rather than a wedding party — three or five parent copies is the realistic wedding case, and each extra copy at that scale only costs a few pounds more than the last. Several of the Graphistudio books also offer a genuine smaller Parent Book in the same materials — the Primo Book pairs with one in 20×30, 20×20 or 30×20cm — so parents can have an identical album at a smaller size and lower cost rather than a different, lesser copy.
The honest range
Most people ordering a considered, real wedding album — not the smallest possible book, not the largest — land somewhere between £600.00 and £900.00 once size, a proper page count and a cover they actually want are chosen. That is not a rule, and plenty of albums sit either side of it, but it is where the real middle of the range actually is, and it is more useful than any single "from" figure could be on its own.
Tell me roughly how many photographs you have and which construction appeals, and I will give you a real figure, not a guess, before you commit to anything — start with your album.
