It was back to a favourite Leicestershire Wedding Venue of mine on August Bank Holiday Monday – Kilworth House, near Lutterworth for the wedding of Jacqui & Jonathan. The day started a little unusually as my first task when I got into the girls’ room to record their preparations was to take out about a dozen wasps with a rolled up copy of Leicestershire Life magazine! After performing my pest control routine, the coverage started and it was nice to work once again with talented Nottinghamshire make up artist Rochelle O’Brien once again.

The girls hair was by Monique who is based out of Indy Hairdressing in Leicester. Monique used to style my wife’s hair a few years back so it was good to catch up with her again. Monique is a valuable asset to any bride’s preparations as she not only did an amazing job with the girls’ hair but also helped out with loads of other tasks after she had finished and went beyond the call of duty.

Leicester Cathedral was a joy to shoot in, not only plenty of lovely light, but a top vicar who places no restrictions on photography other than not using flash which isn’t a problem for me as that is how I always work anyway. And Jonathan and Jacqui were an absolute joy to work with, a lovely couple and so laid-back.

Entertainment for the evening was by talented Leicestershire Wedding and Events Entertainer Paul Martyn, a great singer, saxophonist and DJ and all-round nice guy.

A selection of favourite images from the day follow…
