Exton Park Wedding Photography, Steven & Sarah

Lesiakowski-091

I’ve got to know Steven quite well since they found & booked me for their August wedding back in January 2011.

I always take a keen interest in what people do for a living so when he told me had his own alarm/security system business and I mentioned that I had a need for an alarm system, Steven fitted one for us, and we’ve since had him back this summer just gone to upgrade the system to include my new office/meeting room as well. I can’t recommend Steve’s company highly enough, a bit of shameful promotion I know, but if you’re looking for a home or commercial alarm fitter, try Sensetec – they’re very knowledgeable and offer a great service!

On to the wedding – the day started at Sarah’s parents’ house for preparations and halfway through I sneaked out to Sarah & Steve’s house 100 yards down the road to spend half an hour with Steve and the boys to document their grooming. Unfortunately, 20 minutes was spent waiting for Steve’s shirt to arrive from one of the ushers so I could only grab a few frames before I had to make my way back for the remainder of Sarah’s prep.

Sarah’s parents’ both work at Exton Park so it made complete sense to Steven & Sarah that they should spend their big day with friends and family there. Exton Park is a large traditional English country estate that has been the home of the Noel family (the Earls of Gainsborough) for almost four hundred years. The park has existed since the 12th century and has been visited by many famous people including the composer Handel who put on performances in the gardens of Exton.

This wonderfully romantic building sits on the edge of a lake, covered in the summer with water lilies and at times host to hundreds of swans. The Hall is principally the private home of Viscount Campden and his family and is not normally open to the public. It provides a beautiful, peaceful and above all quintessential English setting for a limited number of weddings, either religious ceremonies in our large private 19th century Roman Catholic Chapel or marquee receptions in the magical secluded grounds.

The evening’s celebrations in the marquee were rounded off with dancing to pop covers wedding band that I’m going to have to add to my list of favourites – iPop – a very talented bunch of musicians who are guaranteed to get the party rocking!
