I wasn’t going to do an “Image of the Year” competition this year as I’ve had a manic January, but looking back at last year’s competition, I’m only a week further ahead than when that was launched – so without further hesitation, here are my favourite images from each of the weddings I shot in 2014.

Scroll through the images, select your favourite and then cast your vote at the bottom of this post. If you want to be entered into the draw for the chance to win £25 in the form of John Lewis Gift Vouchers, leave a comment when you vote and be sure to add your email address in the “email” box when you leave your comment so that I can contact you in the event that you win.

The closing date for the competition is at 12 noon on Monday 23rd February and the winner will be drawn at random from all entries received.

The couple whose wedding the winning image is from will receive a £50 gift voucher redeemable against any of the wall products I offer – gloss alumni prints, bevel edge prints, block wraps, acrylic glacier prints and blanc noir framed prints and can select any image from their wedding for reproduction.

Have fun choosing your favourite!

  • Brilliant photograph, image 1, capturing a very precious moment of the beautiful bride, deep in thought, with her very proud dad by her side!

  • our lovely daughter and her new husband face timing 90 year old ‘wee granny’ after her seeing the whole ceremony on iPad while 200 miles away. Granny was not up to the journey but saw it all in glorious technicolor as it happened. God bless technology!

  • No 1 .Beautiful radiant bride and her father looking more nervous than she was .
Thank you Ian for portraying the day so beautifully and in such an unobtrusive way

  • #22 gets my vote, the fact that Grandma could not make the wedding because of poor health. Yet she embraces technology and face times the bride and groom is perfect.

  • No. 9 is a beautiful image capturing the emotion of the day and the grooms heart. Tears of sadness and of joy.

  • Lucky 13 gets the vote , pure love & emotion especially from dad
    xx

  • Number 9 the raw emotion is really touching. Gone but never forgotten xx

  • Image 9 is so touching. People won’t know why the tears. But in heaven they do.

  • No. 21 for me. I love the seriousness on the left and the complete opposite on the right.
