Hello everyone & welcome to my first post on the new blog.
I’ve finally decided to make the effort to start up a blog for Ian Bursill Photography now that I’m finally seeing some daylight after the backlog of work I’ve had from the Winter and Spring weddings. There is a tremendous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes before and after shooting weddings – certainly a lot more than some people realise – but I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. Then it’ll go mad again come the end of May through to December!
I’ve also re-designed the bursill.com website during February & March and this has taken up a huge chunk of time simply sifting through back catalogues of wedding images for the portfolio section alone. I’m really pleased with the new site as I strongly believe that images say more than words alone and I felt that the previous site was far too ‘text heavy’ and difficult to navigate to the galleries, so something had to give!
