Kerry and Jon’s Sutton Bonington, Leicestershire Wedding

It was back to top Leicestershire Wedding Venue, the superb Sutton Bonington Hall for the wedding of Jon & Kerry. The threat of missing England’s quarter final appearance in the world cup against Argentina never materialised thanks to their woeful efforts in South Africa and never actually making it that far. It wouldn’t have been a problem anyway as the day was simply fantastic and far more entertaining than any England football match.

The day started at Kerry’s parents’ house with the bridal preparations. Kerry had an amazing pair of shoes courtesy of Shoes by Gina. Hair was by Guy who works at Indy Hair in Leicester and make up provided by Leicestershire make-up artist Femi. A terrific vehicle was provided by Nottingham Wedding Car Hire company Ivory Cars, a beauty from their fleet called Daisy; a 1928 Daimler Hooper Tourer and the only one of its kind on the road in the UK.

After the service which was held at St Michael’s Church the guests walked 300 yards down the road to Sutton Bonington Hall for the reception, while Kerry & Jon took off for a 15 minute spin in the Daimler. The flowers for the day were provided by Leicestershire Florist Flowers by Sarah of Quorn.

Matt - Absolutely stunning shots Ian. I find it fascinating that you can, from your photographs, tell the wedding day story. Utterly brilliant and compelling. I love the partial reflection of the bride shot (5); she looks wonderful (and reminds me of Kate Beckinsale — Beautiful!) Some of the expressions you have captured are extraordinary. What timing! As for some of the other shots they are art pieces. I mean the boy on the chair (8) is timeless. Well done, they are fabulous!August 3, 2010 – 7:31 am

David and Helen, Rothley Court Wedding – Leicestershire, New Year’s Eve 2009

Images from my final wedding of 2009 – David and Helen – which was held on New Year’s Eve at Rothley Court in Leicestershire. Luckily the wedding took place before the recent cold snap & snow that we have all been subjected to here in the UK, and the low winter light on the day was beautiful. A selection of images from the day are below as per usual…
