Hello and welcome to my blog site.
I am a documentary wedding photographer based in Loughborough, Leicestershire and a fully active member of the international organisation the WPJA - Wedding Photojournalist Association. I shoot weddings in a documentary style with no intervention or intrusion (apart from a few formals if requested) enabling my clients and their guests to get on enjoy their day without worrying about the photography taking over.
I shoot digitally, working with professional Nikon D3 cameras and lenses. 99% of my images are captured without the use of a flash, preferring to utilise the beauty of natural light. This also enables me to remain very unobtrusive at weddings.
Images from my final wedding of 2009 – David and Helen – which was held on New Year’s Eve at Rothley Court in Leicestershire. Luckily the wedding took place before the recent cold snap & snow that we have all been subjected to here in the UK, and the low winter light on the day was beautiful. May 23rd found me on a trip to the New Walk Museum in Leicester for the wedding of David & Reina. The ceremony took place in gallery 6, a lovely room with loads & loads of light. The reception followed at Shearsby Bath. A selection of favourites from the day are below…
St. Patricks Catholic Church in Leicester was the venue for the wedding of Adam & Jess on Saturday April 12th 2008. The rain that threatened to fall as forecast held off and the sun shone on a lovely informal, intimate & emotional day. Jess’s father & his family from Spain were at the wedding to add a bit of cosmopolitan flair and the ladies drooled over one of the very handsome young Spanish gentleman guests!
