Wow, just found out this morning that I got 2nd place in the “Getting Ready” section of the Quarter 2 Wedding Photojournalist Association competition. I’m still scraping myself off the ceiling, but while I do so, here is the image (and judges comments) that got me the placing…

July 4th, a beautifully sunny day for the wedding of Jacob & Elizabeth at St.Mary’s Catholic Church in Loughborough. A day only spoilt for me by the fact that I dropped the new Nikon D700 with my 50mm 1.4 lens attached to it – the camera survived but the lens will now not focus. Another new one on the way! A bunch of favourites from the day are below…
