Rebecca & James’s Loughborough, Leicestershire Wedding

A terrific day in Loughborough recently for the blessing of Rebecca & James at Emmanuel Church in Loughborough. James is currently serving in the armed forces and the couple are now based over in Germany. They married in a UK registry office ceremony in December 2009 but decided to come back home again for a full church blessing, along with a full reception for close friends and family in late Spring 2010.

The day started with hair styled by Deni at Glitz Hair Design in Loughborough, before moving on to Rebecca’s mum’s for the bridal preparations. Rebecca’s son Ethan (6) did her proud walking her down the aisle at the church in full military dress and after the service Bride, Groom and myself sneaked away for 15 minutes for some portraits at Charnwood Water before rejoining the guests at The Cedars Hotel for the afternoon & evening celebrations. Local band The Fixx entertained with a blistering set which had the floor filled from the opening song of their first set. Alison and David’s East Leake, Leicestershire Wedding

A beautifully sunny day for the wedding of Alison & David at St. Mary’s Church in East Leake, Leicestershire. After the service, the reception was held in a marquee at the home of the bride’s parents. Flowers on the day were provided by The Flower Shop of East Leake, catering by The Fiona Herbert Catering Company Ltd, and the great indie covers band from Loughborough called Indio Black provided a lively end to the day’s celebrations with a storming set to get everyone up on to the dance floor.

Adam and Astrid – Sutton Bonington Hall, Leicestershire

It was back again to top Leicestershire wedding venue Sutton Bonington Hall for the wedding of Adam & Astrid. A few pics from the day follow to narrate the day. If you are wondering about the log cutting image, that is a German tradition called “Das Sägen”. After the ceremony, the bride and groom face their first challenge as a couple. They must saw through a heavy log on two sawhorses, with a whipsaw. This requires their working together, as the saw only cuts when pulled in either direction. It symbolises the couple’s ability to solve problems together.
